Underwater Boudoir

M and I got to play in the water and be manatees together, which is honestly the highest compliment I can give an underwater boudoir session. Soft. Slow. Splashy. Zero hustle culture. M is such a fucking treat. They’re thoughtful, into history, artsy as hell and the whole session felt like a true collaboration as they gave feedback in the moment for what they liked and wanted to try.

One of my favorite parts was watching M lean into a more femme vibe and enjoy it. The little squeal when they realized how good they looked? Chef’s kiss.

That moment - when someone goes from “I’m nervous” to “wait… I look like that underwater!?” - is why I do this. Not to “fix” anyone. Just to reflect back what’s already there.

If you’re plus size and/or queer, you’ve probably been fed the lie that your body is only allowed to be seen when it’s smaller, tougher, more palatable, more whatever. And I’m here to say: no. Your body can be badass, soft, squishy, gorgeous, and worthy of being photographed exactly as it is today. Outdoor boudoir isn’t about performing confidence - it’s about nurturing that confidence, letting it grow from the experience.

We designed an album together, because your images deserve better than rotting in a hidden folder you never open. An album is a daily reminder that your body is real, good, and yours - and you get to take up space in your own story. Manatee energy, forever.
