Spring Equinox family photos in Seattle

We made it through the big dark

Spring Equinox is when the days finally start winning again. More light. More green. Less seasonal despair. It’s a damn good time to book outdoor family portraits in the PNW!

The session vibe

Spring sessions feel like a deep exhale. We meet at a beautiful outdoor spot near Seattle (or Everett, Tacoma, Bellingham, Snohomish, or nearby), and you don’t have to “perform” a perfect family. I’ll guide you through movement and real interactions: walking, cuddling, snack breaks, kids being feral, partners being cute, chosen family being family.

Plus size bodies are welcome. Queer families are welcome. Polyam families are welcome. If your family doesn’t fit the stock-photo mold, good. Mine either!

Spring weather is chaotic, but workable

Yes, it might drizzle. Yes, it might randomly be 65 degrees and sunny for no reason. We plan for it: layers, comfy shoes, clear umbrellas, and backup options. Overcast light is basically free flattering lighting for everyone.

Artwork that lasts longer than the season

After the session, we turn your images into customized artwork: albums and wall art that live in your home, not buried in your phone. A daily reminder that your family is real, loved, and worth celebrating.

Want an Equinox session? Let’s do it.
