Royal Treatment: An Outdoor Boudoir Session Fit for a Queen

It brings me so much joy when an outdoor boudoir session has the elements align. For K's recent photo session, we were blessed with a smokey (but safe!), foggy day that created the most ethereal natural lighting any photographer could hope for.

As we set up at our greenhouse location, the soft, diffused light wrapped around K like a gentle embrace, creating an atmosphere of mystery and allure. K arrived with the confidence of someone familiar with the camera (her sister is a photographer, so she jokingly mentioned being used to following posing instructions).

In a delightful twist, K brought along a book that perfectly complemented our session theme. "Bow Down to the Queen." Every pose, every glance, and every moment captured embodied this empowering concept. We love it when booktok meets boudoir. The book became both a prop and a storytelling element, adding layers of personality and depth to her portraits.

What I love most about outdoor boudoir sessions is how they connect your authentic self with the natural world. There's something profoundly liberating about celebrating your body in open spaces – it's a declaration that your body deserves to exist beautifully in this world, just as it is. And if that’s not something you’re ready for quite yet, we can rent this private greenhouse for the perfect blend of outdoorsy and privacy.

Considering an outdoor boudoir session of your own? Whether you're drawn to a private greenhouse vibe like K's session or waterfall magic, nature provides endless possibilities for creating images that are uniquely yours.
