Outdoor boudoir in Seattle: what about the rain?

If you’re in the PNW, you’re probably thinking: “Outdoor boudoir sounds exciting, but… what if it rains?” Here are my thoughts as someone who photographs outdoor boudoir year-round.

Here’s what happens

We plan for it together. I suggest locations with privacy and shelter options. We bring layers, warm shoes, and something cozy to throw on between sets. We create in short bursts, then you warm up. You’re not standing there freezing while I “find the light.”

Rain can be sexy as hell

Overcast skies are basically a giant softbox. Light drizzle adds mood. Wet hair? Incredible. Mist in the trees? Cinematic. If it’s truly dumping, we pivot! Either we reschedule or choose a more protected spot. No reason to be miserable.

Plus size + queer + polyam folks: I see you
