Large Polycule Love
Recently, I had the absolute honor to photograph a seven-person polycule. I am eager to edit and share these images because let me tell you: they. are. gorgeous.
We met because of the family members has been a previous boudoir client. Because of the google calendar game with that many adults, we ended up meeting for a virtual consultation the morning I was moving! Yes, you read that correct.
It was chaos, but it was so lovely. This group of folks are just so sweet, kind, playful, fun, and encouraging.
One of the family members mentioned that they love to be playful as a group, so we decided that they would have a group chat to discuss color schemes and what to wear. That way we didn’t need to make something fun into a chore on the consultation call. This is why collaborating with my clients makes everything better.
I want this experience to be the best for you and your family.
I wanted to start the session with playfulness and several of the adults ran up to a large tree to climb it. Seemed like telepathy. Before we began taking photos, I had everyone do a quick grounding moment so we could all get into our bodies a bit more.
Throughout the session, we collaborated on which pod of folks made sense where. I, of course, had to give each person a moment to be adored by their family. For this group, we quite literally had a circle and folks naturally got close to the one in the middle while they shared a kind word or phrase.
While I’m typing this, I know this is far too corny for all families. But for this group of folks, they shared how that felt really good and they physically became more comfortable in front of the camera.
One of the best parts was towards the end, one of the family members shared how affirming the experience was and several folks agreed. Yes! Exactly. This is the whole point:
You deserve to feel celebrated, seen, adored, and remember that feeling forever.
It’s why I love creating custom artwork for folks. Because this kind of visual is a daily reminder of how powerful our bodies are, how incredible we look, and how deeply loved we are. I know for me, these reminders are so powerful on the difficult days.
