Dreamy Water Adventure Boudoir
A sunny outdoor boudoir session at Whatcom Falls with no one around? Dreams do come true.
While sunshine is not my actual favorite to photograph in, it is SO fun to play with shadows. J and I got to enjoy some of the almost-summer warmth while J actually got fully submerged in the water! We love to see it.
J got fully glammed up by Chloe, who is one of my favorite folks to refer clients who want makeup done. And let me tell you - the glam stayed the whole time. Typically for folks who like to wear makeup, I tell folks that for outdoor boudoir, it’s a whole vibe to go natural on the makeup. But for folks who want glam, it’s fun! And they always come looking fabulous.
And J was not only looking phenomenal, but she is one of those people that is like sunshine.
J is incredibly kind, so thoughtful and was so clearly communicating what she needed. A dream! J took this session as an opportunity to invest and celebrate her AND to prove that she can do scary or hard things.
I’m such a big fan that the more we do scary things, the less that fear has a hold over us. J did exactly that. From changing to multiple stunning outfits to lounging on rocks in public in lingerie, J is that girl!! So badass. And was able to connect with her body and slow down to reflect on how far her body has brought her.
And!! J wanted to be in the water so we played and swam at the end of our outdoor boudoir session. SO fun! A full real life mermaid.
