How to Prepare for Your First Outdoor Boudoir Session in Seattle

If you’re Googling this, you’re probably excited and also like “oh shit, am I allowed to do this?” Yes! You’re allowed, especially in the body that you have right now.

1) Pick outfits that don’t piss you off. If it pinches, rides up, or makes you feel like trash, nope. Bring 2–4 options: lingerie, robe, bodysuit, big sweater, button-down, something flowy for movement.

2) Expect guidance. You do not need to know how to pose. During the session I’ll direct you the whole time and we’ll take breaks as needed. The goal is relaxed, body-positive, “holy shit I look good” energy.

3) Plan for Seattle weather + privacy. Layers, warm shoes between shots, and a plan B. I scout private-ish spots and we choose times/locations that feel safe.

4) Bring your boundaries. Tell me what’s a yes, a maybe, and a hell-no. Queer, polyam, plus size folks: you don’t have to perform for the camera. You get to be yourself.

Afterward, we turn your images into customized artwork: albums and wall art you’ll actually see every day.

And if you want outdoor family portraits too, I photograph families across Seattle, Everett, Tacoma, Bellingham, Snohomish, and nearby. Same photographer. Same “be yourself” vibe.
