Polyamorous Families

I hate how difficult it has been to find a polyam friendly photographer. As a photographer that does both family photography, it is vital that I am polyamorous friendly. Why? Because it can be difficult to find someone affirming, who understands CNM dynamics, and can intentionally place multiple partners in a gorgeous portrait. And polyam families are some of the most incredibly love-filled families that deserve stunning artwork to represent their families’ bond.

Group boudoir image as an example of a group photo. Four adults ranging in melanin look at the camera looking powerful with a snowy mountain in the background.

While all lovely, not everyone is comfortable signing a full release for their images. All folks I work with have four options for image releases: 1) full, 2) selective, 3) anonymous, and 4) no release. When we meet for a consultation, we go over the image release options, what feels good to you and your family, as well as make plans for our photo session together.

Group boudoir from the same photo session as above. This time, more green trees are in the background with a blue mountain, just before sunrise. The four are giggling and touching each other softly with their hands on shoulders.

If you are polyam and are looking for a family photographer in the Seattle or Pacific Northwest area, please let me know! Either way, I hope you find an enthusiastically affirming photographer that makes you, your partner(s), and anyone else in your family feel deeply seen and adored. You deserve it.
