Celebrating Every Body: A Year of 2026 Special Projects

At Laura Brooks Art, I believe every body has a story worth capturing. Whether it's the back rolls in a boudoir or the joyful chaos of family moments, my 2026 special projects offer the perfect opportunity to celebrate you authentically.

Your Zodiac Vibe

For 2026, my special projects are zodiac themed! There is one opportunity for boudoir and one for families. These are pre-determined themed portrait sessions at a specific day, time, and location.

  • Aquarius (January): Boudoir session on January 27 | Family portraits on January 29

  • Pisces (February): Combined projects on February 19

  • Aries (March): Combined projects on March 26

  • Taurus (April): Boudoir session on April 23 | Family portraits on April 30

  • Gemini (May): Family portraits on May 25 | Boudoir sessions on May 28

  • Cancer (June): Boudoir session on June 23 | Family portraits on June 25

  • Leo (July): Boudoir session on July 28 | Family portraits on July 30

  • Virgo (August): Combined projects on August 27

  • Libra (September): Boudoir session on September 24 | Family portraits on September 29

  • Scorpio (October): Boudoir session on October 22 | Family portraits on October 29

  • Sagittarius (November): Boudoir session on November 19 | Family portraits on November 25

  • Capricorn (December): Combined projects on December 23

Extra Fun Special Projects

In addition to the zodiac series, I have a few fun extra special projects:

  • Silly Faces Days: April 7 and April 16 – during spring break

  • Holiday Card Sessions: November 11 and special weekend sessions after Thanksgiving

  • Four Campaigns: These 3-month long boudoir-related campaigns are a bigger version of last year’s successful special projects. They are not only photo sessions, but a way to give back and donate funds to local community-led orgs.

    • Underwater Boudoir Sessions: Indoor, heated pool sessions playing with fabrics and swimming like mer-people.

    • Bloom Campaign: This campaign uses flowers to represent parts of our bodies that we have been conditioned to hate. Using flowers helps to refresh our perspective and see beauty in the parts of ourselves that could use some extra compassion.

    • Fat Bear Campaign: Boudoir can be exclusive for no good reason. This campaign is for folks who want to embrace their masculine boudoir vibes. Whether you’re a cis-man, trans-man, or someone else who is curious about embracing the masc vibes? You’re welcome to this campaign. With permission, we could even vote for the sexiest Seattle Fat Bear like the real Fat Bear Week does.

    • New Year, Same Me: Fuck self-improvement only for the sake of someone else. In this Black and White portrait campaign, we focus on you exactly how you are today. No makeup, no styling, and maybe no clothes for the adventurous. With permission, we could host a gallery viewing of this campaign to truly celebrate the wide varieties of gorgeous bodies.

Why Book Your Session Now?

Whether it’s boudoir or family sessions, photography with me isn’t just about creating a beautiful image. Through these sessions, we create a daily visual reminder of how loved you, how badass your body is, and how much you’ve grown.

Each project is a special one-day, pre-planned session. My hope is that this alleviates some emotional labor for folks who might be interested in a photo session, but get overwhelmed by the details. Because these are pre-planned, I have only a limited number of spots. Once they’re filled, they are filled!

Ready to Book?

Whether you're drawn to the vulnerability of a boudoir portrait or the joy of family photography, we're here to create images that celebrate the body and life you've built – exactly as you are right now.
